In a recent recruitment campaign for one of our clients, we introduced online interviews in addition to in-office interviews, allowing applicants to choose the one they prefer.
As a result, a majority of candidates, 53%, chose online job interviews.
For candidates who prefer to choose online interviews when possible, offline interviews that require travel to the venue will increase the chances of a no-show.
In addition, candidates who strongly prefer online interviews may not even be inspired to apply for a job that does not offer the option of online interviews.
Of course, there are many advantages of offline interviews over online interviews. However, if you want to increase the number of applications you receive and improve your chances of hiring the right person, you may consider using online interviews.
