After COVID-19, more people want to stay out as much as possible.
In response to this trend, some companies are introducing online job interviews.
What impact will this have on the hiring?
More than half choose online job interviews
In a recent recruitment campaign for one of our clients, we introduced online interviews in addition to in-office interviews, allowing applicants to choose the one they prefer.
As a result, a majority of candidates, 53%, chose online job interviews.
For candidates who prefer to choose online interviews when possible, offline interviews that require travel to the venue will increase the chances of a no-show.
In addition, candidates who strongly prefer online interviews may not even be inspired to apply for a job that does not offer the option of online interviews.
Of course, there are many advantages of offline interviews over online interviews. However, if you want to increase the number of applications you receive and improve your chances of hiring the right person, you may consider using online interviews.
SMS24/7 offers an online interview tool that does not require interviewers/interviewees to download an app. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
